What to Look for in Literacy: Tools for Program Review

Is your literacy mission being lived out in classrooms? This school year provides a unique opportunity to press the “reset button” as students and teachers return to classrooms.

Join Dr. Angela Peery, author of What to Look for in Literacy, as she provides a roadmap to monitoring, evaluating, and implementing effective literacy instruction. This workshop is designed for district, building, and committee leaders looking for tools to examine current literacy practices effectively and objectively, as they prepare for program review/evaluation.

Attendees will:

  • Review components of an effective elementary literacy program
  • Discuss what constitutes an enriched literacy environment
  • Learn how to monitor and assess effective literacy instruction to ensure practices match pedagogy
  • Receive tools to monitor data, provide feedback, and plan next steps

Agenda:

  • 8 a.m. Registration, coffee & pastries
  • 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Dr. Peery Keynote
  • Catered Lunch
  • 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Planning and opportunity to meet with Dr. Peery one-on-one

This is a free event. The audience is coaches, administrators, coordinators and directors.
